Microsoft pulled out some of its big guns (namely the MAV5C assault rifle) this afternoon at the Terra event center in San Francisco during X10, its first "X" event since 2006. Along with announcing the multiplayer beta date for Halo: Reach, Peter Molyneux debuted Fable III and Alan Wake finally got a release date.

And there is much more in store for 360 fans in what Microsoft promised would be an "amazing year" for its console owners. The full rundown of announcements from X10 includes:
The Halo Reach multiplayer beta will kick off on May 3. Gamers can access the beta via the Halo 3: ODST game disc.

The first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 content pack will launch this spring, with an early release on Live.

Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing, the first add-on for the game, will be available in early spring.

Dead Rising 2 will release in North America on August 31, Japan on September 2, and Europe on September 3.

Dead Rising: Case Zero, a Live exclusive, will launch prior to the full game and provide a playable prologue that bridges the story between the two titles.

Alan Wake will launch May 18 in North America and May 21 in Europe.

The 360 Final Fantasy XIII Special Edition Bundle will release starting March 9 for $399, and include a 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers, exclusive downloadable content and a standard edition copy of the game.

Perfect Dark, Scrap Metal, and Game Room will launch March 3 as a part of the "Block Party" event on Live.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction will release at retailers starting April 13 in North America, April 16 in the United Kingdom, and April 28 in Japan.

Lost Planet 2 will launch in North America and Europe on May 18.

Fable III will be available this holiday.
"It's our biggest and most breakthrough year yet, filled with games and entertainment that you won't find on any other console," said Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Game Studios.
