The first DLC pack for Dragon Age II will be ready for download in three weeks, Electronic Arts and BioWare announced today, and in Legacy, players will uncover the "harsh truth" about the Hawke family lineage.

EA showed Legacy in action at its Summer Showcase this afternoon, noting that the story-based DLC adventure will encourage tactical, team-based combat that tasks players will fully utilizing the abilities of all party members.


The rundown on Legacy from BioWare:
Targeted by a vicious criminal cartel that are hunting "the blood of the Hawke," you must put an end to their relentless attacks. Leave Kirkwall, and journey to an ancient Grey Warden prison in order to find the source of the aggression and uncover the harsh truth about the Hawke lineage. Playable from any point in the DAII campaign, face all new Darkspawn, forge a powerful new weapon and come face to face with an ancient horror.
Legacy will be available for download on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, and for PC and Mac OS on July 26 for $10 or 800 MS/BioWare Points.
