The interwebs have been a-buzz of late with all manner of rumbling rumors regarding 2K's highly anticipated BioShock 2. The first up is the fact that the game's name has been officially confirmed as simply BioShock 2 and not BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams as previously thought.

Secondly, the latest edition of print mag Game Informer has a large cover story which blows the lid off the project for the very first time. Check out the cover image below.

And thirdly, the rumors of co-op multiplayer in the game have been squashed by an official post on The Cult of Rapture website. According to the post, around 25 other magazine cover stories are coming over the following weeks. It's clear that BioShock 2 is a big deal, so expect to see a lot of website coverage flooding the zone very soon.

Big Sister? OMG....

Bryn says: No co-op? Bah. I was getting a little giddy over here thinking of the possibilities that would bring. I dunno about you guys, but I've definitely become a fan of playing through big, high-profile games via co-op. I'm not saying I dislike single-player jaunts, but I highly doubt I would have seen anything more than the first hour or two of Halo 3 or Call of Duty: World at War if it wasn't for co-op.
