Gearbox pulls from Mad Max for next Borderlands DLC.
Yesterday
we reported that a curious set of trophies seemed to point to Gearbox's second piece of DLC for
Borderlands. Today
2K Games confirmed the speculation, announcing the Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot DLC for Borderlands. Underdome Riot brings more arena combat to the multiplayer shooter, but this time players can accumulate two whole skill points as quest rewards. The content also adds a bank to the game, which gives players a place to dump some of the millions of guns found in Borderlands. Underdome Riot will release on December 29th for the Xbox 360 and on January 7th for the PlayStation 3. A PC version is confirmed, but no date has been given.
Tyler says: "Mad Moxxi..." "Underdome..." I see what you're doin' there. Tell me there's a giant dude with a not-so-giant dude riding on his back and I'm sold! Plus, I have been known to randomly quip in online shooters, "who runs barter town?" (answer: "MASTER BLASTER!"). Maybe Gearbox is making this DLC
just for me? Wait... is that Randy Pitchford peeping through my window?
