Germany's recent gamescom show seems to have produced two illicit movies of Infinity Ward's new shooter Modern Warfare 2. The shaky-cam footage surfaced on YouTube recently and shows off a good amount of gameplay from the game's anticipated co-op Spec Ops challenge mode.

Looking at the footage, we get to see how the two-player splitscreen mode will work (presumably shot from the Xbox 360 rev of the game) and also how a single-screen co-op challenge might pan out. All in all, this is pretty darned exciting footage. Note the awesome 60 frames-per-second frame rate.

Bryn says: I don't know how much longer this footage will remain live before someone at YouTube yanks it, but boy, am I glad I saw it. This game just keeps getting better. Sure, I'm a bit of fanboy here, but can there be any doubt that Modern Warfare 2 will live up to the massive amount of hype?

Roll on November 10th.
