Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling notes that the first DLC for Modern Warfare 2 will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points.
Speaking on the latest edition of
Major Nelson's Xbox Live podcast, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling revealed that the upcoming Stimulus Pack DLC for
Modern Warfare 2 will cost gamers 1,200 Microsoft Points when it ships later in the month.
VG247 notes that the first DLC pack for the insanely successful shooter will feature five news maps, two of which are from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Bailout – An "overrun apartment complex"
Storm – An industrial park "in the middle of a rainy downpour, tense thunderstorm"
Salvage – An abandoned junkyard", with a "snowy terrain"
Crash – Urban map with a downed heli, one of the classics from COD4
Overgrown – It's "wide open, great for snipers", the other map from Modern Warfare 1
According to the piece the Stimulus Pack will be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace on March 30th, but how will players feel about having to pay for two old-ish multiplayer maps?
Bryn says: Just under a week ago we
reported that
Infinity Ward was gearing up to reveal more information about the Stimulus Pack via its
mapathy.com teaser site, so it's kinda nice to have the full list of maps and a price at last.
That said, 1,200 points for two old maps and three new ones doesn't feel like too much of a great deal to me. Will you be skipping out?
