Lionhead's 'big' new announcement for Fable II gets delayed due to Microsoft's NXE launch.
Early last week we
reported that
Lionhead Studios was ramping up to make a "big announcement" regarding its recently released and very well-received
Fable II for the Xbox 360. Well, it looks as though we'll be waiting a little bit longer to find out exactly what this announcement will be, according to a new post on Lionhead's blog. Poster Sam explains how Microsoft's New Xbox Experience launch has affected the date of this news:
I know what you're thinking, but no, I'm afraid this is not the BIG news that got me (and most of you) so excited last week. The big bods over in Redmond decided that, this week wasn't the time to tell you what that announcement is we have ready here in Guildford. However, there is some news. To celebrate the launch of the New Xbox Experience, we've created an all-new Fable II theme for your dashboard. Go show your Fable pride!
For those of you who are waiting for the "big one" - stay tuned, Microsoft assures me that we can announce it on Monday 24th. If not, I will fly over there and slam my fist on a desk. Like, really hard!
The smart money is still on
Fable II DLC being the focus of this announcement. We'll report back with more once Lionhead spills the beans.
