Knothole Island to be followed up by more Fable II DLC.
Fable II fans will be pleased to know that their adventures won't end with Knothole Island. The
Fable II development team is working on new content for their top-selling RPG, which will be released as DLC.
This information was first released on Twitter, and later posted on the Lionhead community site. The post on the
Fable II Dev Blog started with an update on the game's recent awards, including those from xbox360achievements.org for Best Achievement Tile for "Chicken Kicker" and Most Original Achievement for "Swinger."
Almost as an aside, the post addresses DLC:
Finally we'd like to address a question that comes up a lot;
"Will there be any more DLC for Fable II?".
The answer is quite simple;
"Yes".
The team here in Guildford is working on some new content right now! More information will be shared in the coming weeks.
So there you have it. New
Fable II DLC is on the way.
Gerald says: Who didn't see this coming?
Fable III has already been confirmed, but Lionhead would be smart to not allow its franchise to become too far removed from the public spotlight until then. Assuming that
Fable III will be released in two years' time, I anticipate that we'll get three more
Fable II downloadable content updates before then. One this year, and two the next, almost like an episodic gaming business model.
What do you expect?
