In a brief press announcement today, EA officially announced that a new upgrade to FIFA 08 will allow for five-on-five multiplayer games. Upon the game's release last month, the new Be a Pro mode, in which the camera focuses on a single player and his position on the field, was confined to single-player "training mode." With the patch, you and five other gamers will be able to connect with anyone online to play single matches in this mode.

You'll have the choice of playing as either a single player the entire game, free roaming players, or a combination of both. The patch should automatically install if your Xbox 360 or PS3 is online and connected to EA's servers the next time you pop the game in.
