That loveable Microsoft rogue Major Nelson brings word via his official blog that the new downloadable content packs for Gears of War 2 are now live.

The All Fronts Collection and the Dark Corners Multiplayer map pack both add in the new single-player chapter "Road to Ruin" and seven new multiplayer maps.
Dark Corners Multiplayer Map Pack: This downloadable content pack features 7 new Gears 2 multiplayer maps and a bonus deleted single-player chapter, "Road to Ruin," from the Gears of War 2 campaign. In "Road to Ruin," Marcus and Dom navigate the treacherous Locust highway, choosing stealth or blazing action to survive.

For multiplayer fans, the 7 maps include a new War Machine, the much-requested Gears 1 map; Allfathers Garden, a heavy-weapons battle at a COG landmark; Highway, a fight deep in the Locust Hollow; Memorial, a battle at the Tomb of the Unknowns; Nowhere, a firefight in an old motel; Way Station, an unpredictable battlefield with parallel paths; and Sanctuary, a reimagined favorite from Gears for Windows.
Dark Corners costs 1,200 Microsoft Points, and All Fronts Collection (which combines all four of the DLC map packs for Gears of War 2) goes for 1,600 Microsoft Points.

Bryn says: There's not enough time in the day or money in my bank to be able to keep up with all these DLC extras and upcoming releases. I've invested a decent amount of time into Gears 2 already, so I'll most likely grab Dark Corners (I'll be playing it mainly for the single-player chapter though).

Are you all Geared out?
