Just because Vito Scaletta is spending time in the clink doesn't mean Joe Barbaro can't have fun. 2K Games announced that Joe's Adventures, the third DLC pack for Mafia II, is on the way, giving gamers the chance to spend some time in Empire Bay as Vito's sidekick, Joe.

Featuring a new narrative, new locations (train station, cathouse, boat yard, lakefront, new Empire Bay buildings), and a fresh batch of shootouts and car chases, Joe's Adventures is set for launch on November 23 on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Windows Live for 800 Microsoft Points or $10.

The rundown from 2K Games:
This exciting new chapter in the Mafia II saga includes new clothing, 20 new Playboy collectibles and even more classic 40's and 50's music. In addition to the story-based missions, Joe's Adventures opens up a slew of optional city-based quests packed with arcade action gameplay and a points-based system that allows players to move up the ranks on the online leaderboard through combos and multiplier bonuses.
Developed by 2K Czech, Mafia II already offers two DLC add-ons: The Betrayal of Jimmy for the PS3, and Jimmy's Vendetta for the PS3, Xbox 360, and Windows PCs.

Sharkey says: Mafia II is a fun game, but its biggest flaw is its relatively short length. 2K would have been better off including Jimmy's Vendetta and Joe's Adventures in the core game, giving gamers that plunked down $60 their money's worth. I have no problem buying worthwhile DLC packs that truly expand the game. The problem is developers are trending toward taking content out of the core game to make it a DLC pack. Not good.
