Mass Effect 2 is experiencing a slight delay in one of its free pieces of DLC today, as BioWare's official forum informs that mercenary Zaeed (pictured), is currently unavailable for the Xbox 360 (via Joystiq). According to the post, the other pieces of DLC should still work, and plans are to have Zaeed ready in next few days.

BioWare's recent Dragon Age: Origins experienced a similar snag in DLC plans with The Return to Ostagar. Both Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age have ambitious DLC plans; here's hoping BioWare can sort the issues out.

Tyler says: In both cases, Dragon Age and Mass Effect, the games are so good, and so filled with content, that these mishaps aren't a big deal to me personally.

What is a big deal to me (like Hindenburg-big), are the squadmate icons that appear at the bottom of the screen when patrolling with your posse. It irks me that the game is astonishingly beautiful, but BioWare feels the need to place what look like message-board avatars on the bottom of the screen. What's the point of eliminating the HUD, if you're only going to take 97% away and leave the disembodied heads? And choosing to show only your squadmates on the HUD seems like such an arbitrary decision when you can easily see who's rolling deep with LB or RB. I'd pay money to have the option to remove those. Seriously.
