That's right, the one and only Square Enix has finally decided to make an exclusive title for Bill Gates' darling white and silver next-gen console. If you're picturing a new Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts game, stop right now, because you couldn't be further off the mark. Instead of crafting a roleplaying game, the Japanese developer is working on a space shooter with the working title Project Sylph. If that title sounds vaguely familiar, it's probably because you've played the classic shooter Silpheed.
The new game was announced during an Xbox 360 press conference in Tokyo yesterday. Square Enix also showed off a trailer which gave a few hints about the game's storyline. Apparently, the game takes place in the 27th century and includes...spaceships! You're surprised, you know it.
