Via the Red Dead Redemption blog, Rockstar announced that its next title update, planned for release on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network before the end of August, will include beefed up measures to find hackers and cheaters and boot them from the game.

"Obviously, these multiplayer modes can be great fun when everyone is on the up-and-up, so to ensure we preserve the integrity of gameplay for all online, we are actively working on new features to counter against the isolated incidents of abuse that go on," Rockstar stated.
In addition, the update will provide bullying relief for gamers in Free Roam. If you're catching unwanted flak from a particularly vocal or abusive player, you'll have the option to transport to a region of the map of your choosing to respawn. Further, when a player gets a six-kill streak in Free Roam, they will automatically become "Most Wanted." Other players will be alerted about the player-killer and NPC law will also be sent after the Most Wanted player.
"Expect that we'll continue to monitor the lay of the land and fight the good fight via future title updates to make sure everyone's multiplayer experience is as fair and as fun as can be," Rockstar concluded.
