What do you get when you combine Resident Evil and No More Heroes? A Shinji Mikami and Goichi Suda (Suda 51) psychological action thriller, Shadows of the Damned, and you get it on the just announced release date of June 7.

Developer Grasshopper games showed off Shadows of the Damned at publisher Electronic Arts' Game Developers Conference 2011 event this afternoon, demonstrating how lead character Garcia will hunt demons using the power of light. Get a peek of the mechanic in the game's announcement trailer:



Shadows of the Damned is being developed for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As stated in the lede, the game is set to ship on June 7.
